RUN FOR GREEN
The record-breaking marathon will be inaugurated in Besant Nagar on June 15th, 2017 bt Dr. K. Abdul Ghani, Green Man of India, Mr. P.Asir Pandian, General Secretary & CEO of YMCA and Mr. T.N. Santhosh Kumar, Chairman, Para-Olympic, Pondicherry.
BLOOD CAMP
A blood camp was conducted on - 21st July 2017 at Pondicherry near Swadeshi cotton mill (opp. New bus stand) as a tribute to our beloved Dr.APJ Abdulkalam's memorial inauguration @Rameshwaram by joining hands with JIPMER, Sri Manakula Vinayagar Engineering College, Arupadai Veedu Medical College, Lakshmi Narayana Medical College, Mahatma Gandhi Medical College, Pondicherry Engineering College, Friend's Mobile, Uyirthuli, MML Infra pvt ltd and Rahul Industries. A sign board was placed to get signed by the public. The same was handed over to Dr. APJ Abdulkalam's family members and got displayed in house of Kalam on his 2nd rememberance day 26th July 2017. 100 saplings were also donated to the blood donors, volunteers and the entire medical team.
RELAY MARATHON
RELAY MARATHON from Madurai to House of Kalam on 26th July '2K17
It is a Relay Marathon event from Madurai Gandhi Museum till House of Kalam @ Pai Karumbu, Rameshwaram involving 10 young runners (under 15yrs) running for 166 kms. Having no world records at the past we've made arrangements to make it as a world record by joining hands with Assist World Records.
The kids would start the event at 4am by lighting the torch from Gandhi Museum and carrying it till Kalam's Memorial and would reach by 5pm. Every child would run for 17kms approximately and Dr.Sylendrababu IPS, Additional Director General of Police of the Prisons, Tamil Nadu is also joining the kids and running with them in the final 30kms. Every participant would be certified and honored individually by Mr. Kailash Satyarthi, Nobel Peace Prize winner in 2014 in the presence of many other dignitaries at the memorial.
